Dr. Andrew M. Pereira, DPT is the owner of Joint Movements Physical Therapy, and has over 19 years of experience working in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. He received his bachelor's degree in Biology from Manhattan College, and was a student of the pilot class to receive their Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican College (now Dominican University) in 2009. Since that time, Dr. Pereira has spent his career helping patients throughout Rockland County recover from various injuries, surgeries, and ailments. Dr. Pereira is also certified through Hospital of Special Surgery Rehabilitation as a Overhead Athlete Certified Clinician, to help athletes of all ages avoid potential injury as they engage in the sports that they enjoy. He formerly was certified as a Sports Safety Educator through HSS Rehab.

 

A former athlete and avid health & fitness advocate, Dr. Pereira understands his patients desire to recover from the disorders that limit them and works to help them to return to levels of activity that they desire. He tailors each patients treatment program to the individual and specific needs of each patient to maximize their time spent in physical therapy.
